Potty Training!

This is one of those post that no one really wants to read but I use this blog to journal so, bear with me! Kason is officially potty trained! yaaa!! NO MORE DIAPERS! I had tried to potty train him the traditional way a few months ago and it was a serious no-go. He was not having it and I was not interested in staying inside all day and taking him to the potty every 20 min. on the dot.
Luckily, he decided on his own that he was ready. He was at Steve's for the weekend and said, Dad I'm going to go potty in the big boy potty. He went. Steve told me about it so I thought I'd go with it and see if it stuck. It did!! A few accidents later we were all set. Even at night! Ah, so very nice!

Summer fun with cousins

I got to babysit my cute neices and nephew for an overnighter and we had so much fun! They are such sweet kids.

Seaside Trip

Catching up on my blog here. In July we went to Seaside with our friends. We love vacationing with them because we have kids the same age and the adults have even more fun when the kids go to bed! We all crammed into one car and drove down together. We stopped at this awesome park and ate lunch.

Thanks to these friends (I'm trying to protect their identity, can ya tell? :) ) Kason and I just got to show up to a vacation already plannned. We got a condo practically across the street from the beach. It was W-I-N-D-Y but we had a blast making sandcastles and jumping the waves. Kason ran right in and got drenched in the first 5 minutes...which means so did I :)

We brought bikes for the boys and they LOVED it. There is a long promenade into town that they enjoyed riding back and forth on. I couldn't find Kason's helmet before we left so I brought this hand-me-down helmet. I'm pretty sure it's for skiing! ha.

They boys were in heaven with this train ride

 The hat shop!

Oh...and my personal fav...the candy shop!

Bummed I couldn't get this pics to turn around..and...I'm too lazy to fix it! All in all, great trip, great memories, funny moments and plans to go back next year!
