Just a few funny pics...

I don't carry around my big SLR camera very often. I keep my little point and shoot in my purse becasue it is just fine for our daily documenting :)! I hadn't uploaded any pics in a while and found a few funny ones, enjoy...

We're cheap and don't have cable...OR a wireless modem...haha soooo this is how we watched conference! I wonder how long this will stay fun...
Ok, this is not from my camera but I found it and started laughing..yes, he does have panyhose on his head. It was a game we played at our family reuion...think what you may..

I swear I turned around and this is what I found. Kason, with my running shoes on (the wrong feet) and my ipod in and playing. ha! I said, whoa- what are you doing? His reply..."I just go for run" - gotta start em young right?
This is my cute nephew. Look how stinkin high those pants are! haha we're getting a glimpse of what age 84 might look like!

Arizona Trip

I've been a total slacker on this blog, but here goes my catch up. I had the chance to go visit my sis. and bro. in law in Arizona last month. Oh my, what a treat! My mom watched Kason for me for 5 days!! What a trooper. Kason had such a blast and pretty sure, wore my mom out! That's saying a lot, she usually has about double the energy I do on any given day.

We went on a hike in the desert...literally! It was really fun to see such different terrain. I never knew there were so many kinds of cact-i? It was hot, but windy so we survived!
Had to capitalize on the time away from kiddo and take care of some roots while I was there! Thanks to Tiffany, Brooke's friend for taking me on such short notice!
Brooke and Ransom hanging out on the rock at "the top" of our hike! We saw lots of lizards and kept an eye out for snakes and scorpians! Luckily, we didn't meet any...
Brooke and I walked through downtown and stopped in these cute vintage clothing shops. Thanks for modeling, pickles!
Cannot fail to mention that she got her wedding dress on 9 months post baby! Amazing..

This vacation was sooo nice. I didn't realize how much I needed it, until I was there and got to just relax and unwind. The first day they both were gone until about 5:30, so I just layed by the pool (got fried to a crisp!) and read a book. Yes, me, a non-reader, read a book! Thanks Brooke and Ransom for letting me stay with you and showing me the sights of Tuscon!

Our Special guest....Nigel!

Kason is in a co-op preschool called the "busy bees" He LOVES it!! This week it was my turn to teach so of course, I had to utilize my connections with "the reptile lady" aka Megan, my Sis. (in law). She has a 6+ foot snake named Nigel. She should really do this full time because it was like having a pro come it. The kids all LOVED him. The one girl in our class was the most interested. The boys would touch him and then shreak and squirm while she full on held him. It was so much fun to watch. Thank you Megan and Nigel!!

I'm engaged!!

I'm so excited to tell you all about my new fiancee! I'll give the full engagement story on a different post.

He is just the best. He is handsome, charming, spiritual, succesful and I can't keep my eyes off him. He has a little boy too so it is just perfect. We've only been dating a little while but when you know, you just know! We haven't set a wedding date yet but are very excited about our engagement. There's a picture of him below if you want to check him out, he's a catch!

...oh, sorry. Sometimes I forget if it's in your wildest dreams day or April Fools...

Idiosynchrasies

Every once in a while I stop and think about my daily routine. I notice the things that I do to make my life easier, or just because it's how I've always done it. I often watch my friends as they do their daily routine and notice that every one has their own idiosynchrasies. I'm really pretty laid back when it comes to the rules of household running. I don't cut my flour with a knife when measuring out a cup, I don't use a cutting board all the time and I deffinatly don't iron my sheets. I do have a few little tricks I've found actually helpful to me :)

Here's some of mine...

* When I do laundry, I put the cup that the detergent goes in, into the washer to wash with the clothes. The cup comes out clean with no soap residue.

* When I mop, I have to wear socks.

*In order to get anything done, I always have to have music blarring. It might be cleaning the house, making dinner or playing play-doh with Kason, music is always on.

*I keep a laundry hamper in the bathroom. This is where most of the dirty clothes come from anyway!

* I wash all my jeans inside out and air dry them.

* When cleaning, I have to do one room at a time, usally starting with the kitchen. If I try to do it all at once I get distracted and it never happens :)

These are just some of mine, What are yours?
